Is there an XML feed or API for Yahoo Finance?

I am looking to put stock quote information on a site. I keep hearing about a Yahoo Finance API, but I can't find it anywhere

  1. One way to put stock quote information on a site is with Yahoo! Finance badges:

    http://finance.yahoo.com/badges

    This creates HTML for you that you can put on your web page.

    Help for Finance Badges is at:

    I believe the badges themselves make use of a Yahoo! Finance API, but if they do, I haven't been able to find any documentation on it. I'm not sure Yahoo! wants to have an open API for its financial info, as that would make it too easy for someone to display their data without acknowledging where it came from, or paying for it.
