  1. Hit MATH then go over to NUM.  It's the first choice , abs(


  2. I'm not sure what calculator you're using, but if you are really desperate for an absolute value key, do this:

    1. Square the value

    2. Square root it.

    When you square it, you always get a positive value, so when you square root it you get a positive value.
