Is there an adaptor i can buy to plug my aviation headset into a computer's microphone jack?

Headset has a 0.250" headset plug and a 0.206" mike plug

  1. Be very careful about compatibility.  When I worked on aircraft almost everything was to an aircraft standard.  Frequently that standard was intentionally different from similar private applications.  The idea was to prevent all of the lamps and other item in bench-stock from winding up in someones car.  For example:  The first place I worked had nothing but 28 volt bulbs.

    Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it won't work but if I were going to do it I would be very careful matching impedance's and so forth.


  2. Off the shelf, probably not, but you could probably put something together.

    The mic output may not be compatible with the input rating of the mic jack on your computer, causing low or overdriven audio.
