Is there an advantage to taking more than the required number of SAT II's?

I'm thinking about applying to UPenn, and they only require 2 SAT 2s. I've taken US History so far and gotten 760 and will take math 2 as well. Any sense in going for 3 or 4? Or is that a waste of time.

  1. if you are pretty confident with the two that you take then yesm only two is just fine.  for me, i have no idea what i will be best at so i'm taking a couple of different SAT 2s and then i can pick my best scores.  the only advantage to taking more is that you can have a greater selection of good scores to chose from but it also means you have to study extra hard to get all of them in

  2. Eh, not necessary. If you are confident that you can do really well in the other sat2s, take them.

But if you have to stress yourself out studying, don't do it. It's really not that big of a deal at all. And remember that getting a bad score on them will hurt you. Whereas a good score will give you a tiny little bump.
