Is there an age restrictioin for adopting animals in quebec or canada?

I'm looking at adopting a ferret at my local SPCA and was wondering if theres an age restriction in either canada or quebec.

  1. As long as you have a legal guardian and you are a teenager, it is allowed. There is an age RECOMMENDED for owning a ferret, which is 14, but all you need is a legal parent or guardian when adopting. Good luck!


  2. I think you have to ask them directly. It's usually 18. Otherwise you need a parent or adult to adopt for you.
