Is there an age restriction for emplotment in places like Hungry Jacks, KFC, Macca's, Coles Safeway etc?

The general age for a job in Australia is 14 and 9 months, but I think they do make exception in certain places, especially fast food restaurants. You will have to ask the individual business, as it will most probably defer with each one. Good luck :)

A great site based for young people. 12 - 25 yrs old.  It explains age on getting a job, how to get a job and heaps of FAQ's.

Generally it is 14 1/2 to work, but you can work earlier as long as your have your parent’s permission.

Coles, Woolworths, IGA, K-mart, Target, Big W, The Warehouse.

Any fast food places, McDonalds, KFC etc - they all take on casual staff. - Just walk in and ask !

Smaller takeaway shops, like Pizza, Pasta etc... they are always taking on delivery persons and need kitchen hands....great for the younger person that wants to work.

- Most of the places above you apply online on their websites, look for a link 'careers' or 'employment'.  A bit lengthy I know.... but you fill in what area you want to work etc, and they will email you jobs coming up, you can pick and choose, if you are then accepted they will call you in for an interview.
