Is there an agency that regulates mortgage brokerages?

I recently had a VERY bad experience with my mortgage brokerage as I was trying to buy a new house. We were 12 days late closing, and that is only the beginning. I would have changed agencies had I known that it would take so long. Who can I report their bad service to, or what recourse options do I have?

Technically, the Fed is responsible for regulating the mortgage industry, but in this case, i don't think there's anything you can really accomplish.

None. Closing dates are an estimate. 12 days is more than acceptable.

department of financial institutions in your state or the attorney general. i had the same experience, but they stole my title to my home and 40 k in equity.....you think you got it baddddddddd.
