Is there some sort of over the counter brake line I can buy at an auto parts store to replace the o.e.m. version. I realize it would have to fit and be somewhat similar in performance. Trying to save money and generally just wondering.

  1. I'm sure there are a few other methods of brakes, however, the hydraulic system is widely used because it is easy and efficient, as well as not costing allot to put on a bike!

Do some research, call your local bike shop, see what they have and what they suggest!

    Good luck!

  2. Just buy the brake line and replace it yourself.

  3. Sorry man, a cars hydrualic lines will get you through a little time, but the car lines have no thought of low weight, further more they are less flexible having to move very little, to add on to this still, they are higher flow, meaning extra fluid, they usually are meant for extreme pressures not like a bike, order a set off of cambria bike, they will have a decent price.
