Is there an alternative to Windows Install Cleanup Utility?

I tried installing it but my HP computer gives an "access denied"type of windows so is there something else I could use to completely delete iTunes without deleting my songs so I can reinstall it? My iTunes is broken so I'm trying to delete the program and then reinstall it.

  1. When you have a second partition  (d drive) on your hard drive, you should make a directory and call it for example

d:/My iTunes music. Copy all your music from iTunes to that new directory. Now is your music save and you can uninstall iTunes and reinstall it. You should keep the directory d:/My iTunes music, because you do not want to loose it. when you have to format your pc.

When you have reinstalled iTunes, you must let iTunes know, where you have stored your music, so iTunes knows where to find it to play.

I do not know where you get your music from. When you download it with a p2p program like limewire, you should do the same.

Made again a directory on d drive call it f.e.  d:/Limewire Downloads.

Then go to limewire   options and change there also the download directory to d:/Limewidre Downloads.

I say limewire, because that is the one I use and makes it easier for me.

You might have a different program, but it gives you an idee  what to do

  2. Either move all of your songs to Windows Media Player, or to a flash drive.  If you move them to a flash drive, you will possibly lose all information about your music.
