  1. Do you bring it out of the water each time after use?

    Options include...

    McLube Sailcoat

    Holmenkol wax

and Basic zinc oxide creams...as in diaper rash or sunburn.

If it stays in the water...then no...you need anti-fouling, although the Holmenkol lasts quite a while.

  2. My husband knew of a kind of very hot pepper powder that he mixed with bottom paint to create an "antifouling" effect.  I don't know more than that about it, but I know we were very careful when we touched it because it was not fun if we got it in our eyes for example.  These links may be helpful.

  3. If it is only 12 foot dingy then consider a copper clad hull with plate as the Royal Navy did their sailing fleets but use your

common brass s***w rather than their spikes.  Just thick enough so hand-held tools bend or cut as needed.  Power

drill bore of s***w placement. Decorative metal plate is available if desired for inboard use.

  4. you could try epoxy

    very strong stuff
