My online lecture notes only come in pdf file format and my computer cant read it for some reason.

So is there an alternative to reading my lecture notes in pdf besides copy/paste onto Microsoft word which I don't want to because there are important diagrams I need to see.

Thanks

  1. You can use Foxit Reader for an alternatively PDF reader. The free version is good enough. It's not as heavy as Adobe Acrobat Reader.

However, if you want to copy/paste diagram from pdf document, I think you should use a tool to convert it to Microsoft Office file. The best tool that I've ever used is Solid Converter:

Or you can just only take a screen shot :)

    Have fun.

  2. not sure, would your online lecture provide notes in anything but pdf?

you can download pdf / adobe viewer from www.adobe.com for free...

  3. PDF is a pretty standard and common format, so there aren't really alternatives. I don't think that you can convert them to .doc without opening them, but you could try downloading the newest version of Adobe Reader and installing it. That should fix it. You might also be able to read PDFs via a web browser.
