We have a problem with flys in our house this year, And no our house isnt dirty! All the answers I got last time I asked said to clean our house, and our house is clean! And we keep a cover on our trash (mostly to keep the dogs out) We also keep the windows closed most of the time since the A/C is on, but they still come in every time we open the door and let the dogs out or whatever. We got some of those sticky strip things and they didnt work at all and all the other spray and traps at the store seem to be for outside use, not indoors. we really need some help to get rid of these. there really annoying, and i worry about them hurting our rabbit. Ive been cleaning her cage 3-4 times a week and they still hang out by her because her cage and her litter box is basically the only place in the house they like, besides the kitchen sink, whenever i catch them in the sink i spray them with bleach spray which kills them, but we cant spray that all over the house! please help?

  2. you can treat the outside with a pyrethroid class insecticide...more so for the repelling traits rather than their killing ability.  Use the pre-mixed products that attach to the garden hose. Treat as much structure and the areas that the flies accumulate on the outside.  Most common active you will probably find is permethrin though it will the shortest lasting.  Look at the ingredients of products the active will end in  -thrin. Pest and people should be fine with any of that group of insecticides, just follow label instructions.

  3. ~~Hang a zioplock sandwich size bag filled halfway with water above your outside door. You can even put another close to it for best results. This disorients them and they turn and leave. You can fill a spray bottle half with amber colored Listerine and half with water. Then spray any surface and it's safe for skin, and they wont come near it. It needs to be resprayed ever 4 hours or so, but both these tricks work great!~~The spray also works on mosquitos!
