  1. If your answer was picked as "best", the person will usually put a note to you under the rating about your answer.  They may also email you to the address you've given if you allow messages. (Sorry Irish, I just read your answer after I posted).


  2. No, but they could put something in comments thanking you or send you an e-mail if you allow it.
