Is there an any other abbreviation for the word 'percentage' that isn't the % sign?

I seem to remember there being an abbreviation for the word 'percent' or 'percentage'. Prnt? Perc? Nah, those don't look right. Help me out here.

  1. I work as a data systems architect.  We tend to use "Pct" as a suffix in the names of fields that contain percentages.  I think I've seen that in ordinary English as well, although you might argue that computer programmers have no idea what ordinary English is.

    Without knowing the reason that you're trying to avoid the percent sign punctuation mark (in most RDBMS field names, it's generally an illegal character) it's hard for me to guess what the most suitable abbreviation for your circumstances might be.
