Is there an apple store in UAE?

My husband and I have the iMac, MacBook Pro, Apple TV, iPod Touch, and iPod Nano. We are relocating to Abu Dhabi and need to find an Apple store to purchase new power cables and assist us with any technical issues that may arise with our products. Is there an official Apple store in Abu Dhabi or Dubai? I've had some experience with licensed dealers and am never impressed with their product knowledge, so I would really like to find an official store. We couldn't find any details on their websites.

I read this in a forum.

"Actually, there is an Apple Centre in the Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai (in the China Court) and a brand new Apple Centre in the Abu Dhabi Mall in Abu Dhabi (third floor near the Grand Cinemas). They are not actually Apple Stores... they are Apple Centres owned and operated by ABM (I believe that Arab Business Machines has the primary distribution rights for Apple in the UAE)."

I admire your guts in asking this question. Apples and grapes are banned in the middle east. We subsist on peaches, pears, oranges, apricots, plums and dates.

The forbidden fruit theory is seriously followed in all countries in the middle east and ever since Adam and Eve sinned (it is in the scriptures), the fruit has had a controversial biography.

Even as I talk of peaches, we prefer the Syrian, Jordanian and Lebanese ones, as they are grown on Arab soil. The reason grapes are banned is the potential social threat of brewing wine at home.

You do find all kinds of cables though.

I looked on the official Apple website, and looked at their country selection to find Apple stored and The UAE was not listed.
