Question:

Is there an easier way to remove dried concrete from a brick than chipping it off with hammer and chisel?

I would like to salvage numerous bricks removed from my house during renovation, for potential re use later on. The "chip it off" method with hammer and chisel is just too slow and painstaking, is there a detergent or solvent or something to soften the concrete first, then brush or rinse it away?

  1. No hammer and chisel is all the is, very time consuming job. You can clean bricks up using brick acid but it wont remove large amounts like what you asking about.
