Is there an easy way to remove artex from a plaster bourd cieling.?

There is no easy way, but you can steam it off, it all depends on what your looking at doing instead as this will not give you a perfect finish and it may be easier to put a plaster skim coat over it. This can be done, however if it is heavy textured coat of artex then it may need a coat of bonding first.

or you can rip out the ceiling and start again.
