  1. Many univerisity programs require one year of chemistry -- often during your freshman year.

In my opinion the class is required of all engineering students to weed people out.  Many engineering professions do not use chemistry as part of their job.

If you can make it through high school chemistry you should be able to get through the required chemistry classes in college.

    Good luck.

  2. No, they will all require basic Chemistry. Perhaps the lowest Chemistyr requirments will be for Mechanical, Computer   and Civil Engineering degree programs. Still, you'll take at least one semester of Chemitry for these degree programs.

  3. all engineers are  connected to each other. There isn't any engineering which is not related to each other.

  4. I have an accredited BS Mech E. degree. I took 1 semester of material science to avoid having any chemistry. Chem is not required for accreditation for most engineering degrees. I did not use any significant chemistry in college, just touched a very little bit in elective power generation thermodynamics course.

Any engineering degree other than ChemE shouldn't require much or any chem.

Many schools also offer non-accredited degrees, where you can skip one or more classes. Most employers don't know the difference, but some do, and I wouldn't go for a non-accredited degree.

Check the catalog for your preferred schools to determine actual requirements and options for each degree of interest to you. They sometimes more than the accreditation folks require.
