Is there an entry level office job out there that doesn't involve customer service?

I am a college student who needs to find an entry level job. I like the idea of an office job - a/c and heating (i'm sick of sweating my butt off or freezing because of outdoor jobs). I really don't want to get into customer service. Can anyone think of a position that I might be interested in?

  1. Be my file clerk - A neccessity I do not have time for.......duties include filing invoices and paid receipts, organizing and filing new client folders and re-organizing all our closed/older files for easier access.  Some heavy lifting required. Knowledge of the american alphabet a plus.

  2. Companies will hire people to do data entry, filing, mailroom all these may or may not involve interaction with customers. Insurance companies use data people for scanning in paperwork, entering data in for new applications or claims processing. Major retailers hire people to come in and restock inventory at night - check with Walmart, Target, see if they are hiring for that kind of work.

Maybe consider working at a hotel (housekeeping, grounds maintenance), somewhere at the airport.

  3. Don't listen to those bots with the work at home jobs. You will be scammed and you will lose your money. I would suggest looking for an office position. Or try to find a job on campus through the school.
