  1. No.

  2. eragon

  3. twilight... lol jk i was waiting for someone to say that!

  4. I would say that 'The Sword of Truth' series by Terry Goodkind is pretty amazing in terms of scope and excitement and characters. Also, the 'Dark Tower' series by Stephen King is another good one.

    Edit:

Someone recommended Eragon. If you love Lord of the Rings, don't read Eragon. Everything is shamelessly pilfered from Tolkien and it's redone BADLY--it's badly written, badly plotted, and badly characterized. You'll be disappointed and it'll be a waste of your time.

Definitely go for 'The Sword of Truth' series by Terry Goodkind. It's one of the most epic things I've ever read... and you're talking to a serious fan of Lord of the Rings here.

  5. a lot of ur answers r gonna b this..harry potter.

n i like hp better than lotr, coz its kinda more personal n harry n the others change a lot over time. lotr is also gud bt hp is unparalled!!

  6. No.  Harry Potter comes close but is too much a kid's novel.  Lord of the Rings has the ancient wonder and splendor.  The storylines are more complex than Harry Potter.

  7. hahaha Sorry but I have to say Harry Potter. The Lord of the Rings was fantastic but I felt that Tolkien focused too much on insignificant stuff. He spent like two pages discribing random sceneries in which nothing happened as Frodo and Sam trecked on. He did that a lot and I found myself getting bored. I admit he was very visual...but he was TOO visual.

Eragon was also very excellent but I felt like it was all happening in Middle Earth ya know? Urgals are like orcs. Kull are like Urakai (spelling?). The elves are the same as the ones in Middle Earth, they even have that whole longing for the sea thing going on. If you look at the map in The Hobbit and the map of Algaesia, you see they are very similar. Not to mention the dwarves are very similar and both books seem to take place in the same Era. And ALSO

Du Weldenvarden is like the forest that Galadriel lived in and The Spine reminded me of the forest Bilbo went through in The Hobbit.  I am not saying I don't like Eragon and The Inheritance Trilogy, I do. I LOVE it but I was just saying Christopher Paoloni got a lot off his...."inspiration", from LOTR

Sorry I know I rambled away from your question but I had to get it out of me.

  8. TWILIGHT!!!

I know a lot of people hate it, well say they hate it. And i know you probably think its just for stupid young teenage girls. Well i'm not a stupid young teenage girl and i think it is an awesome book! IT actually inspired me to write and you can probably read my stories if you click on my profile you could read them but whatever...I still think it is a series i will never forget!!!!
