  1. It depends on how you define "immortal." By your use of "an" in front of "immortal" I presume you are asking about a person. I doubt that such a person exists.

Human Stupidity, on the other hand, just won't die!!!!

  2. who could say?

anyone who claims to be would be considered crazy and out o ftouch with realitiy...

i'ts never been proved, but at the same time, it's not been proved as an impossibility either.

  3. Maybe some bacteria? But even they get destroyed.

  4. There is a think called quantum immortality where you and only you are immortal and will live forever, so everybody is immortal, but only from his or her perspective.  to everyone else's perspective, that person is mortal.

  5. You wouldn't believe me if told you...

  6. If there isn't, there could be.  We are the first generation of humans, in my opinion, to simply set by and allow death to over take us.

Human cloning is the first step, and maybe the only necessary step, toward immortality.

Can you imagine how that would change our approach to space travel and exploration?

  7. Everything living = energy

    Energy = immortality

    Therefore, Everything = immortality

Energy can never die, it only changes form.

  8. nope

  9. Yes, I am. I've been living for 6 million years and counting.

  10. In human society, only stupidity is immortal.

(points to the 2012 paranoia as an example, which stemmed from the 2003 paranoia (you didn't know Nibiru came by in 2003 as well, did you?, well it sure did. 3600 years later (i.e. 2012), it's coming around again!), as well as the 2000 paranoia, and all of that).

  11. oh yean,  duncan mcleod

  12. Immortality is a relative concept.

If longevity is the requirement, there is a single "quaking aspen" plant in Utah that is between 80 thousand and one million years old and still alive.

Some bacteria have been alive for billions of years. They split to multiply and continue living. That is immortality.

In a way, all living things could be considered immortal in that they have been continuing to live for millions of years, because each new generation is a continuation of the parent life form.

If the requirement is that the living thing cannot die, its immortality would not be provable scientifically until it dies.

  13. On Earth there is no immortal.

That was a very easy question. Everything that is "alive" had a beginning and will have an end sometime in the future.

  14. none have been found so far.
