Is there an insurance company that covers public liability on a donkey or ponies giving ponie rides?

i have been asked by a friend who owns a sanctuary. He was asked by a member of public if it was possible to insure any equine giving rides.

  1. I think he needs a a General Liability Insurance that covers Bodily Injury and Property Damage. The NAIC code, I think is 115210 - "Horses (except racehorses), boarding." There should be a few programs for this type of a risk. If you are in California, I could probably help you out


  2. Call a business insurance agent.  I am sure they have insured weirder things.  Be prepared with all the information on how the rides will work.

  4. Yes, any decent commercial insurance broker in yellow pages should be able to sort this out.  I believe public liability cover is normally compulsory for equestrian centres anyway - one of the very few trades to which this rule applies
