Is there an interesting way to teach sentence structure?

My guess is "probably not", but if any teachers, tutors or language buffs out there have some interesting (relatively speaking) tools for teaching about sentence structure--let me know!

I'm not an English teacher (I teach computer science), but I absolutely LOVED doing sentence diagrams in Ms. Benjamin's 6th grade class. I'm 35 years old and still remember doing those diagrams!  

I've also seen color-coded sentences, but I guess you'd need a bunch of highlighters or something.
