  1. The old wives tale is about a bird hitting your home window.  when that happens a death will occur soon.  Since autos were not invented when the old wives tale was thought up.  I think you are safe.

  2. in my superstitions book it says birds are often interpreted as dead souls, certain birds with black and white feathers are a regarded as an omen or death or some other misfortune.a bird flying into ur house and out again is a sign of death to someone in that household, dark birds that fly around trees without settling down are said to be the souls of reincarnated evil-doers, and some say they are unbaptised children that have died and they have to become birds until they get into heaven.it doesnt say anything about hitting them...sorry.hope i helped a little bit.goodluck!

  3. Yeah, it means birds in your area are apparently not watching out for you.  The saying goes "if a bird hits your windshield, he is mostly likely a dead duck"

  4. I've not heard of any wives tales about that. I've heard a lot about birds being stuck in peoples grills of their car. Car bras help that. It's very unfortunate about the birds, on the lighter side, you must have a very clean car window :)
