Is there an ombudsman for internet poker sites?

I would like to know if there is any body who checks the validity of internet poker sites as Im sure if its a software programme, Im sure it can be effected by inputting different values ie; someone who plays more & spends more wins more ??

The various poker forums and blogs are great areas to look for information.  That is where the Absolute cheating scandal was discovered and brought to light, it is also where the story broke about the poker stars online world series scandal.  If anything smells fishy on online poker sites, it will be reported on the forums and blogs. I normally  use thepokerforum.com and the various blogs on the bluff magazine web site.

I can't say that there's an ombudsman per se, but if you want the latest rants and raves and most honest information (which you have to sort out for yourself as to validity,) I suggest you try the newsgroup rec.gambling.poker, which you can find through google groups.  There may be a lot of personal diatribes there but it's unfiltered content and the most honest assessments from users.
