try amazon marketplace, Alibris, Half.com, and Abebooks.com

Amazon market place and Half.com are going to give you better selection and due to greater competition, it will probably give you better prices. Also, if your town as a College Store, they typically have pretty competitive prices in relation to your school store

There are cheap used textbooks on Ebay. Not a black market, but a good way to save money.

Books aren't illegal so it would be hard to have a black market for them. If you are wanting to receive copyrighted material without paying, that is copyright infringement, not a black market transaction.
