Is there an online portal for locating a boat/ship?

I am looking specifically for a boat (I know the name of it) currently docked in Florida, but I am unaware of which port it is at. Is there an online service that can trace the known whereabouts of a vessel at the present time? I thought this was standard procedure with the new terrorism laws but maybe not. Any help is appreciated. ^_^

is it a pleasure craft or commercial vessel.  For example if pleasure craft you would have to call all of the Marinas.  If a commercial vessel for example Houston, texas www.portofhouston.com will lead you to all vessels docked and where.....

If they have a SSB or Ham Radio aboard you can try this site.

all boats have a radio (marine) you can call a marine operator and give the ships name and call will be sent, you also can call the coast guard for help in locating this vessel
