  1. It's not an underwater metro and you certainly can't see a lot out of the window :0)

Basically the Channel tunnel is dual purpose.  You can travel by train (Eurostar) from St Pancreas in London to mainland Europe (e.g. Brussels or Paris) and this is a high speed network.

The second route is by car (and also truck) - serving instead of the ferries that travel over water.  Basically you drive into a (similar to ) train carriage with your car and remain with your car for about 35 mins until arrival the other side

It's a really quick and easy journey, but at least for the car journey, is usually more expensive than the ferry

You can read more about them here:

    Eurostar official homepage http://www.eurostar.com/

    Eurotunnel (car/truck) homepage http://www.eurotunnel.com/

  2. Yes, is called the channel tunnel "CHUNNEL". Links Kent,UK to Calais, France. It's about a 30 min trip.

  3. The Channel Tunnel links England with France.  It's not a specifically a metro, as in underground railways like Paris or London.  Stations are London St Pancras and Ashford in England, and Paris in France.  There are no stations under the English Channel!
