I have used the Axe brand deodorant and it causes itching under the arm. Is there a brand that does not cause itching when you use it and still works for its intended purpose?

  1. Ban

  2. Most deodorants contain aluminum. This may or may not be the reason for your itching. It could be the scent in the deodorant as well. Find a mild one. You could have also developed a yeast infection under your arms. Better get checked.

  3. Tom's of Maine makes a hypoallergenic deodorant. Whole Foods sells it.

  4. You are probably having a reaction to that specific brand. You just need a different one. It will be trial and error until you find one that doesn't make you itch.

    Good Luck!

  5. I use Crystal deodorant.  It is an actual crystal.  You wet it and rub it on your underarm.  They sell it at Giant, Wegmans, Weis, etc.  It has no odor.  I love it.

  6. I've never had a deoderant that caused itching so maybe Axe has a perfume in it that is irritating to your skin.  Just start trying other brands.  I'm sure you'll find one that doesn't irritate you.

  7. When you go to the store, try looking for sensitive skin deodorant. It shouldn't make you itch and still be a strong deodorant that stops sweat.
