lahinch co.clare, they have good surfing there, its pretty close to galway like an hour by bus

Bettystown is a brilliant place to go.

there is the beach and an arcade called funtasia that is brilliant! It is also not that far from dublin centre.its only 20 mins north of dublin.so it is a brilliant area.

try Youghal [co. Cork], Bray [co. Wicklow], Salthill [co Galway] or my favourite, Dangeain Uí Thúis [commonly called "Dingle", co. Kerry]

Galway. It 's a very artistic place full of music, art and theatre. The sea is near by with boat trips available to near by islands and there are bus tours to the coast line to see the Cliffs of Moher. Plus from memory Galway has a big horse racing carnival in August. Mmm don't quote me on  that one. One thing for sure though: Galway has some great pubs.
