Absolutely, recently Avon and Revlon have stopped animal testing. Loreal and bath and body works do not test on animals at all, and never have. :)

I don't care what the label states, an animal was tested on to see if the product is safe.

These animal free cosmetics are copying the formula from companies that use animals or they are using humans as guinea pigs.  I don't know why humans aren't considered animals by these companies.

A product has to be tested before it's FDA approved.

Yuppers! Just go on peta, or peta2 website and it will tell you A LOT of brands that come without the cruelty.

and some of them dont advertise that they dont. i dont know why but whatever.

but seriously there are so many places that dont test on animals and its easy to find the products a lot of them are even sold in wal mart. its easy to be cruelty free!!!

however, just so you know. even if something isnt tested on animals its not a guerentee that it doesnt have animal products in it, so if you want to be careful of that too there is another whole list of animal products out there. but using products not tested on animals is defiantly a good start!

Yep.  There's a company called Zuzu Luxe, which is sold through vegan retailers.  If there's a Sephora in your area, check out Urban Decay and Hard Candy.  I think Clinique, M.A.C., and Smashbox also don't test on animals.

iyeah there are lots of of cosmetics out there I ave you some links go check them out i hope that you enjoy and thanks for this question because  now I am going to look into this for myself!  Even for cleaning product and such there are places on-line that you can make your own cleaning agents that have not been tested on animals thanks for making me aware after you asked this I looked at my dog and two cats and felt so bad!!  I guess you can call this a pay it forward if you now what I mean! Thanks from all of this reading I have learned so much! I would also be carefull As i researched some of the products others have answers and only some of the products were animal free from the testing .

Yes there are, but you have to be careful when looking for cosmetics that are animal cruelty free because these days many company's will send there products to other companies to test on animals and then send it back to the company and then that company can put the animal cruelty free stamp on it.  So you have to be very careful and do your research.  I usually get mine off of peta, because for some reason I just trust them.
