I just read that Abkhazia an autonomous republic is now fighting against Georgia also. So its Abkhazia, Russia, and South Ossetia vs. Georgia. WOW.... here is some more info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_South_Ossetia_War

yeap everyone loves Georgia. omg. (abkhazia is on Georgian territory too. The same condition that was in S. Ossetia)

You are really out of touch, the wars for independence go back to the collapse of the USSR in the 1990's. Essentially the area has had a seperate government since 1991. Atleast that is how the story goes. The difference is that Georgia is pro western now which only exasperates things, because it is seeking NATO membership - if that happens things get really sic, because these areas are largely pro Russian.

Georgia is essentially abusing the minority group in those areas, and using martial force to hold territory that was given to it by the USSR - however at the time georgia was part of the USSR and S.O. was not part of Historic Georgia.

They claim Russia landed 4000 troops there and they're trying to cross into the Zugdidi region.

Nobody should be surprised as Putin's plan unfolds.

Nobody but the journalists that were murdered by these poor, unfortunate separatists Russia was funding I suppose.
