  1. nope, 'fraid not

  2. UPDATE: Apparently, you did not fully read my answer. Please see the note at the bottom, but I will repeat myself here too. I can't know why you're asking the question, but I put the steps in my answer so that you can double-check that you're doing it correctly.

NOTE: The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up. Also, there is a history of glitches with the feature. So, patience is necessary. You'll need to go through the process and have a blank image for a while until the system processes the change.

Lastly, it's not always an issue with 360. Yahoo!Answers has glitches of its own sometimes. Regardless of who is at fault, it's not you; it's YAHOO. You will have to wait or try again another time when it doesn't seem that everyone is having problems doing the same thing. Chill.

Avatars - you don't need 360 to use them in Y/A.

A picture image (i.e. personal profile pic) - you do need Y!360 to use it. There is no other way.

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.

NOTE: The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up.

  3. no that is the only way you can get a picture for your id other than your avatar
