  1. Be a civilian or NASA test pilot.

  2. You can inquire at a municipal airport to sign up for flight lessons/instruction or the FAA.  Not all pilots served in the air force to gain their license.  John Travolta and Tom Cruise were never in the military. Not only do they own their own planes, they fly them themselves.

  3. Yes but it'll take a lot of time and money. You can learn to fly a jet by attending civilian flight schools too. Even once qualified you'll probably never fly a military jet, too much super secret hardware on board.

  4. take flight lessons and get a job flying the concorde.

    navy flys planes too.

  5. Buy one.

  6. The fastest "plane" a civilian could fly should theoretically be the Virgin Galactic space plane that Burt Rutan is designing. Although I presume that, at $200000 a ride per passenger, the list for potential volunteer pilot is probably quite likely to be long...

  7. For a momentary thrill, you could try one of these...

    Have fun.

  8. If you have millions of dollars to spend on a Mig 29 and on flight training, you could buy and fly your own front-line fighter plane, with all the weapons systems removed, of course.

  9. L-39

  10. The Navy
