  1. Even you do tracking, still the bus you take will ride a boat or ferry.

  2. you can travel from north to south using your own car if you like coz

every port has roll on roll off pier which ready to transport your vehicle from one pier to another.

  3. I am not so sure which way, but as far as I know you can take Philtranco going to cebu, better ask the philtranco office or call.

  4. You mean, by private vehicle? Yes, take the Maharlika Hiway going to Bicol (Philtranco Route). At Matnog, Sorsogon, get on a RoRo ferry which will get you to Samar via Allen (there's another port I forgot the name). Take the main highway again going to Ormoc City in Leyte. (San Juanico Bridge connects the islands of Samar and Leyte). In Ormoc, get your car into a RoRo again for Cebu.

Another way is through the GMA Nautical Hiway, which will take you through Batangas-Mindoro-Panay-****** islands. I am not sure though where in ****** can you get a RoRo ride to Cebu. Perhaps, San Carlos City to Tuburan, Cebu? or Danao Port in Escalante, ****** to Tuburan, Cebu? You may ask DOTC or Tourism; I am sure they know because this route was developed as a flagship project of President GMA.

[Oops, the name of one island there was edited out by YA, thinking it's a bad word.. Anyway it's the island where Bacolod City is. It's the one west  of Cebu on the map.]

  5. You can ride a bus at Philtranco.  Go South. You could ride Super Ferry.

  6. You didn't say what way you would normally use that you need an alternative to.

My preferred method is Superferry from Manila to Cebu City. They will take your car too, but it is quite expensive.

Apart from what the previous poster said, the most common RORO crossing points from Leyte to Cebu are from Palompon to Bogo and from Isabel to to Danao. This is because the RORO's that service these routes are way cheaper than from Ormoc City to Cebu City.

  7. You can use a broomstick and oil too.. Thats cheaper!! Heeheheheh
