  1. You just need a converter to change format into a quicktime format for the ipod - ImToo software is worth taking a look at.

    The you can import into itunes, and voila!


  2. Yep. You can take DVDs you own, rip them on to your computer (Handbrake is a good app on the Mac, don't know on the PC side), then put those files on your iPod via iTunes as normal.

  3. Now, you see, if you had bought an ordinary player (not an "i thing"), then you could download all kinds of content from places all over the web. For free (think of some well known peer to peer sites). However, you've done the stupid thing and bought something made by apple which has all kinds of heavy software which it needs in order to carry out a simple task such as having a file uploaded to it.

    Get rid of it and buy a non-apple player. The sound and picture quality will see a marked improvement too.
