use strips of brown paper bags

u could twist it around ur finger then use hair spray, it will hold it in place, don't let go till its dry though.

use a brallel bursh and a blow dryer

You should try the pin curl method, this method is more comfortable than rollers and still provides some lovely curls. Here's a tutorial if you ned a visual.
