On satellite radio there are.

Like on SIRIUS:

Channel 8 - The Big 80's

Channel 23 - Hair Nation (which plays the hair bands of the 80's so I would say that is probably what you're looking for.)

Yes, Pandora radio connect your ipod to your computer get the suitable adapters, and forget radio exist.  The answer is no.  Its always going to be one person picking songs of his, or her taste, or following the set guidelines.  Now we have the Internet at our fingertips with the capability to download it and take it anywhere we choose.  They should utilize the radio frequencies for something more use full like emergency calls, and such.  Although that might just be too much like right.
