The University of Phoenix is one of the better "adult orientated" universities in the United States, however they only offer online courses for international students.

In saying that you will find that the majority of universities in the United States are very diverse at by this I mean that there are students of all races, relgion, social and economic backgrounds and of course, of all ages.

When I first came to the United States as an international student, every semester I had students in my class of all ages, from those who had just graduated high-school (18), to those who had work and wanted to get back into education (like myself), also there were people who were doing specific courses to gain advancement within their current field and of course those who had even retired and were looking to gain more education for fulfillment purposes.

So at 24 years old, you will certainly not be the oldest freshman at your university - nor does it matter - there is no age discrimination, people get into or continue their education at a much later age all the time. I was only a year or two younger than you when I made the move to the States and I am still here and now pursing my law degree and DU.

Some distance learning universities tend to cater to adults mainly - now, these universities also offer onsite programs - University of Phoenix, Argosy University, Webster University, Kaplan University, ITT Tech, etc.
