I want to obtain my Class A license and I need to know if there is any companies that will allow 19 year old on the company paid training. I really don't want to go through the roadmaster school here is Jacksonville, FL. I have seen many companies online with the program, but the minimum is 21 or 22. I am just tyring to get my foot in the door right now.

  1. Their insurance companies won't allow persons younger than 21 as they are a higher insurance risk.  Also, you cannot run out of state until you are 21... those are the main reasons for the 21 age minimum.

If you are looking for a way in the door, try working in another area of a trucking company until you are 21... for example, on the dock...
