  1. You need to by a power converter [usually found in the airport] and PS2, PS1 games and DVD/BR Movies from India wont work, only american ones will.

  2. There is only a difference if it is a 60gig. The difference is NTSC and PAL.

  3. Hi man...Here is a list of things you can do with the US ps3 in india:

    1. Play all PS3 games purchased in India. PS3 games are NOT region coded and will play everywhere.

    2. Play most Original PS2 games purchased in the USA/Canada.

    3. Play BluRay movies which have been bought in the USA or ones that have "Region Code A" or "Region Free" written on the box. There are several BluRay movies in India which are sold as "Region free."

    4. Play DVD movies which have "region code 1" printed on the box or are "region free."

I guess that wraps up the whole thing. Now lets come to the problems you will face. All old versions of the ps3 have a universal power supply. But If you're planning to buy the MGS4 bundle, call or mail the sony guys to confirm if it has the universal power supply. I think it has the 110-240V supply, but why take the chance of blowing up your new ps3. The other minor problem would be the NTSC/PAL difference on some Indian televisions. If you're planning to connect the ps3 to a HDTV, no prob at all. If you're planning to connect it to a crt tv, check if it supports NTSC signals. And last but not the least, there is no warranty for american or any ps3 purchased outside India.
