What to say upon receiving pleasing or displeasing news



In English When he (the Prophet) (S) used to receive pleasant news, he (S) would say:

    (i)

    ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€Â˜All Praise is for Allaah by whose favour good works are accomplished.’

… and upon receiving displeasing news, he (S) would say:

    (ii)

    ÃƒÂ¢Ã‚€Â˜All Praise is for Allaah in all circumstances.’

just ask Allah,

you dont have to have a neccesary dua,

just make it up, tell Allah, he understands.

depends what you describe as "bad"??

Mostly news that you would consider as "bad", is something writen by Allaah with his Knowlegde, Writings, Will or Creation, like death.

"Bad" news can be to let one come guided (agian) (like Earthquake)...

"Bad" news can be to let one person do "Shukr" (like thalaaq)...

"Bad" news can be to let one erases sin (like sickness), or to stop one from sin or to hold one back from sinning.

Look at the "bad" news differently and make Shukr, it is something that Allaah has writen.. In the End everything that comes from Allaah is Ghair. And what in your eyes bad news be may be in the future turn out to be good. Sabr and taqwa!
