  1. go get 'em rookie... you'll be a vet by season's end.

  2. Joining a Yahoo or ESPN Public league is great, but with a strong word of warning.

Most leagues that draft before August 24th are usually filled with people using them for "mock drafts."  They practice drafting a team, than rarely show up again.

Wait until the last possible minute to join a league.  Don't panic, there will be hundreds.

To practice, go to the ESPN mock draft lobby so you can get more comfortable with drafting.

Yahoo has tons of leagues, and you can also "apply" to private leagues.  Private leagues will take rookies, if it means you are an active participant and won't lave them with a dead team.

The Yahoo public league system is filled with quitters.

  3. umm i dk. but if you want you can join mines.

its a 12 team league. draft is today at 7 pm

    yahoo league

  4. The best thing to do is go to yahoo fantasy football and join a public league.

I am a fantasy veteran, but I often do this to use as a  warmup for the competitive leagues I participate in.

This is perfect for a rookie because you won't know anyone you are going against, so no big deal if you do something stupid, you'll never see these people in real life.  Do this for a year or 2 until you get the hang of it, and then go get in with a bunch of your buddies (maybe even for a $$$ pot) and beat the c**p out of them with your fantasy knowledge :)
