Like are there any Free programs with filters that allow me to take out some of the noise because it is really bad btw I already have audacity but i don't know how to use the removal stuff I see noise reduction and the high pass/low pass filters and I don't know what to use. and for futere references what are ways that I could prevent wind noise from entering my portable audio recorder(also known as a cell phone because camera mic is c**p)

  1. With audacity you could try removing some of the low frequencies with the equalizer in the effects menu.  It probably will not work too great though.  It is difficult to remove a noise once it is on the recording - you'll end up removing sounds you want in the process.  You want to use a high pass filter to remove the wind noise.  You'll need to experiment.

To prevent wind noise, you might try covering the mic with a small piece of foam rubber or cloth.
