  1. A good counselor won't change a schedule just because you don't like it, but they should change the following: take you out of a class taught by a teacher in whose class you've previously gotten an F or a D, or delete a class you don't need to graduate (or for college if you're on that track).

The thing of least concern if your dislike or a teacher, subject, or class location.  btw, we teachers don't get to choose classroom, students, or specific courses.

  2. It depends on your school.

With my schedule, I had two classes I didn't need and I didn't want, so my counselor replaced it with Spanish!!! Yay!!!

POSSIBLE REASONS TO GET A SCHEDULE CHANGE:

-A class has a prerequisite that you haven't taken.

EX: In your schedule, you are taking Algebra II before Algebra I.

    -Computer error.

EX: You are missing some classes.

-You need a class on your schedule to graduate or pass your grade level, but it's not on your schedule.

EX: You need to take Algebra I as a freshmen, and if it's not on there, you can ask your counselor to put it on there.

EX: You need to take Chemistry to graduate, but it's not on your schedule, and you are a senior.

-You are taking a course and you feel that you are ready for the honors level OR you are taking an honors course and you feel that it's too much for you.

EX: You are taking Geometry and you feel that you are ready to take Honors Geometry.

EX: You are taking Honors Geometry and you feel that the class is too hard, so you have to switch to regular Geometry.

*Those are some of the reasons at my school.*

  3. I would definitely look at grammar as a possible path.

Don't be afraid to talk to your councilor about where you see yourself heading.

  4. say yourealy dont see yourself gettign the proper education in this class.

i had to do the same thing last year and i wil this year too, ughhh

i hate my school, thats why i need to go to a new one

i will learn so much more and make new friends

  5. I agree with TW.  If you are planning to request a change in your schedule, you need to have a legitimate educational reason.  You are more likely get your desired result if changing your classes will ultimately improve your chances for academic success, or if they fit your long-term academic goals better.

  6. Talk to your counselor as soon as possible, I just got my schedule and am going to call them tomorrow and have a class changed, if it doesn't mess up the rest of my schedule.

It also depends on what sort of classes your school chose as mandatory, and how the credit system works where you go to. Talk to your counselor ASAP.
