Is there any GOOD ways of transferring music videos etc from your ipod to your computer?

My computer crashed and has nothing on it after reformatting, I lost about 800 songs and a few videos, Is there any good ways of getting that back to my computer. Some that I have tried result in not all songs being transferred or then being damaged or not full songs/videos.
