Is there any Immigration Fee required before the US immigration Interview?

My kids are scheduled for an Immigration

interview end of this month . Do we have to pay any FEES prior

to the immigration interview? Please advise.

  1. I don't know if they changed the procedures from 7 yrs. ago but when I went for my interview, I just had to pay the courier/delivery service fee. Not sure if those still apply.

  2. my dad works for immigration and I know you need an appointment set for the interview but the only fees there are, are the ones they charge to push your papers. So my answer is no.

  3. Yes, there are always fees where immigration is concerned.

    This is from the travel.state.gov website:

    Immigrant visa application processing fee (per person), Form DS-230 : $355.00

    Diversity Visa Lottery surcharge for immigrant visa application (per person applying as a result of the lottery program): $375.00

    Immigrant visa security surcharge, for all IV and DV applicants: $45.00

    You may want to take a look at the embassy website in your country as well at usembassy.state.gov and look for the immigrant visa section.
