Since I am leaving to go to Japan, I was wanting to do some studying while I was there, and Interior Design was what I was going to school for in the states before my husband got his orders for Japan.

  1. I think it's funny how Americans just feel that their nationality gives them special status abroad and how everyone is just dying to take them.

  2. I am sorry but have to tell you that there is no interior design schools anywhere in Japan nor required Japanese.

Japanese speaks only Japanese not any other language like English in public.

The school that does not require Japanese is unable to exist in there.

  3. Some schools may allow you to enter and attend classes as long as you pay the tuition, but you won't be learning much as all the classes will be taught in Japanese.  Perhaps you might consider attending a Japanese language school first?

  4. There is the Interior Design College in Tokyo

    http://www.ics.ac.jp/en/index.html

Since it has exchange program with the UK, I believe here are some courses in English.

  5. Do any design schools in Canada or the US not require english?

  6. This is Japan.  I don't think there is any school that does not require Japanese.
