I don't know how old this topic is, but there is most definitely Irish Language Hip-hop, though it is hard to come by. I think it was Rí Rá who I saw supporting Dälek in the Róisin Dubh in Galway. It was altogether brilliant stuff, didn't sound like a joke at all.
