There is a very good one in Thornhill, north of Toronto called Restoran Malaysia (Major Mac and Bayview).  If you google the name you will find lots of hits and very good reviews.  I've been lots of times.  Don't expect fancy decor but warm service and great food, reasonable prices.  Note: it's halal so there is no alcohol and it gets busy

    Things that I LOVE:  red/green chicken curry, the chicken noodle soup is outstanding, pineapple fried rice, Malaysian !roti! and awesome teas........now I must go to satisfy a craving.
